Each licensed person can be signed in on up to five supported devices at the same time, subject to the current Microsoft plan terms.
Up to six people
Microsoft 365 Family can be shared with up to five additional people through the subscription owner's Microsoft family group. Each person uses a separate Microsoft account.
Family cloud storage
Microsoft's current storage model provides pooled Family storage for new and eligible subscriptions. Transition timing can differ for existing subscriptions and renewals.
Copilot availability
Copilot benefits are subject to usage limits, minimum-age requirements, supported platforms, languages, and regions. Family AI benefits are available to the subscription owner and are not shared with other members.

Does the subscription renew automatically?
Renewal behavior depends on the confirmed channel. Microsoft direct subscriptions can renew automatically, while prepaid codes and third-party billed subscriptions follow different rules. The reseller offer must state the actual term and renewal method.
Can a code be redeemed in any country?
No global entitlement should be assumed. Microsoft states that retail keys must generally be redeemed in the country or region where they were purchased. The activation market must be confirmed for the supplied SKU.
Can family members see each other's files?
Each person uses a separate Microsoft account. Files, email, photos, calendars, contacts, and notebooks remain private unless the member explicitly shares them.
What happens when the subscription expires?
Desktop applications can enter reduced-functionality mode. Cloud storage returns toward the free allowance and accounts over that allowance can lose upload and sync functionality under Microsoft's published retention process.
