Office 2024 Standard

Office 2024 LTSC Standard for Mac is the volume-license edition of Office for Mac, with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote on one Mac.

It covers everyday office work in companies and organisations: correspondence in Word, calculations in Excel, presentations in PowerPoint and email in Outlook. As an LTSC edition, its features stay fixed; it only receives security and quality updates.

Who is this edition for?

• Companies and public authorities that want volume-licensed Office on their Macs.
• Regulated or restricted environments that cannot take feature updates.
• Teams that use Office with Outlook for business every day.

The apps at a glance

• Word 2024: contracts, reports and correspondence. If Word closes unexpectedly, it reopens the documents you had open.
• Excel 2024: budgets and evaluations. New functions such as TEXTSPLIT, VSTACK, IMAGE and LAMBDA (for your own functions) save manual work.
• PowerPoint 2024: presentations with Cameo for your live camera image on the slide, Recording Studio for turning a presentation into a video and closed captions for accessible video and audio.
• Outlook 2024: email, calendar and contacts. Focused Inbox separates important messages from the rest; with cloud-based accounts you can schedule or delay emails.
• OneNote: digital notebook for meeting notes, ideas and checklists.

What's new in Office 2024 Standard for Mac?

All apps use the new default Office theme based on Fluent Design. With Continuity Camera you insert photos from your iPhone or iPad straight into Word, Excel or PowerPoint. Excel is faster and more stable with several workbooks open. Also new: improved accessibility tools, accessible PDF export in PowerPoint and support for ODF 1.4.

Buy once, use permanently

This edition is a one-time purchase: no monthly or yearly fees, and after activation you can also work offline. Under Microsoft's Fixed Lifecycle Policy it receives security updates until October 9, 2029. New features, cloud storage and Copilot are not included; they come only with Microsoft 365. It runs on the three most recent macOS versions, natively on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

Mac and Windows in the same team

Word, Excel and PowerPoint for Mac use the same file formats as on Windows (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx), so Mac and Windows users can work on the same files. Common shortcuts use Cmd instead of Ctrl, for example Cmd+C, Cmd+V and Cmd+S.

Standard for Mac or another edition?

Office 2024 Standard for Mac contains the same apps as Office 2024 Home & Business for Mac, as a volume-license edition. On a Windows PC? Then take Office 2024 Standard for Windows. Access and Publisher are not available for macOS.
